Introduction CyberClass Schedule

CyberClasses

CyberClass is an adaptation of standard classroom instructor-led training. You can attend a CyberClass from the comfort of your home or anywhere else with both phone and Internet access. Your remotely located CyberClass instructor will use a combination of telephone conferencing and online remote presentations to lead you through conceptual topics, demonstrate features and techniques and guide you through workshops.

How Do CyberClasses Work?
When you register for a CyberClass, you will receive a registration kit which includes PC installation and configuration instructions and a special toll-free number and password for the conference call. Before a session starts, call the toll-free number and ask to be connected to the CyberClass. You also connect to the remote presentations via the Internet. Registration for this class does need to be confirmed two weeks in advance.

CyberClass Prerequisites:
  • Access to a telephone (ideally a speakerphone or headset that enables hands-free use).

  • A separate telephone connection to the Internet from your PC, via modem 28.8 or higher.

  • Microsoft NetMeeting software running under Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0. NetMeeting is a self-extracting executable program that is easy to install and configure. The latest version can be downloaded at no charge from the NetMeeting website.

  • For Windows 95, a Pentium 133 processor with 16 MB RAM is recommended. For Windows NT, a Pentium 133 processor with 32 MB RAM is recommended.

  • At least 5 MB hard-disk space available (an additional ~10 MB is needed during installation only to accommodate the initial setup files).

  • Please refer to the CyberClass schedule for additional software requirements. Some Compuware product training courses may require the installation of the software to your personal PC (supplied by the TEC).

Registration Process:
The CyberClass Registration Form will be used to register for the CyberClasses. Please provide all information requested, along with the date or dates of the classes that you wish to attend and your current installed PC Operating System. Registration deadline information is provided on the Compuware CyberClass Schedule.

If you have any questions or concerns about the CyberClasses, please call the TEC at 248.538.2305 or FAX to 248.538.2307.
