This course will teach the participant Internet concepts and will introduce the capabilities and syntax of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Topics covered include: World Wide Web, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Newsgroups, and Telnet. The participants will learn how to design Web pages using HTML.
Through instructor lead presentation and hands-on workshops, the participant will be able to create lists, organize data in tables, place images, create forms, and design a basic Web page. The participant will then create advanced Web pages that include Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Imagemaps, implement frames, use META tags for client pull, and incorporate multimedia.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the Windows interface is required.
