This course is designed for the technical application developer interested in building and enhancing the tools used to manipulate a relational database and its environment. The course will provide experience using Oracle SQL to handle relational databases with an emphasis on Data Manipulation Language (DML) commands. SQL*Plus will also be introduced to manipulate queries. PL/SQL will provide experience with creating scripts, or sets of commands, that run as one set of code.
Detailed materials, lectures, and frequent hands-on workshops will reinforce the use of the product and how it relates to business system requirements.
Prerequisites: Applied knowledge of Windows 3.x or Windows 95 is required. CBT curriculum for Oracle development must be started two weeks prior to class and completed.
